Overview
The block was the project. Once the maquette was approved we searched for a block that could yield the form in one piece, reserved it, and designed the transport route around its dimensions before committing to carving.
Public installation brought its own requirements: an engineered fixing detail, lifting points designed into the rough-out stage, and a surface finish chosen to shed rain and resist casual damage.
